Our date parties are special occasions that occur 2-3 times per semester. We always host our annual Crush Party, where girls can anonymously invite three dates. During second semester, Delta Phi Epsilon plans a more casual date function. In the past, this has included attending a Detroit Pistons basketball game or cheering on the Red Wings in hockey. At the end of each semester, girls look forward to our formal events and get dressed up for a night on the town.
Delta Phi Epsilon makes sure to involve our families, too. Each year we host a parents weekend to show them sorority life. These weekends are filled with unique activities around Ann Arbor, sports games and house tours. Whether we're out to dinner at Zingerman's or Chef Catie is preparing deserts or brunch, DPhiE keeps our families in mind.
Some of the most anticipated events of the year are Delta Phi Epsilon's social events. Each semester we participate in mixers with fraternities, hold date parties at fun venues and have formals in Detroit. Mixers with fraternities offer girls a social experience that helps make college great. Our past themes have ranged from 80s dance parties, where girls dress up in bright colors with scrunchies and leg warmers, to lumberjacks wearing our cutest boots and flannels. Besides mixers, we also have tailgates every Football Saturday and are invited to fraternities for special events.
